chemical use assessment / rule 25 assessment / substance use

What is an Assessment

A comprehensive chemical use assessment is a confidential evaluation process where a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC) will ask you in depth questions about your current substance use/abuse, your past experience with alcohol and drug use and other social aspects of your life. The purpose of an assessment is to first determine if the individual has a substance use disorder and secondly what type of treatment program would be beneficial for that person. The appointment takes 1-2 hours. As uncomfortable as it may feel to discuss personal aspects of your life and what brought you here, its important to be open and honest. This could be the first step in breaking the chains of addiction!
